Money

Money

This can be a very controversial topic. Some people say they don't need it and others say they can't live without it. I have one question...how do you live without money? You don't and you can't, simple answers. What I really like is when someone says "love is all I need, money doesn't matter to me", and I honestly just can't help but laugh at their stupidity. Does love pay bills? Does love buy food? Does love  keep you warm when its 10 degrees outside? No, no, and no. Its a simple fact that without money we are fucked. You see that guy on the street over there? He thought love would pay his bills and look where he ended up. Well chances are thats not what happened but you get the point. He would probably sell his kidney and a lung just to sleep in someones bed for a night and have a decent meal with a bottle of vodka and sleeping pills so he doesn't have to live without his legs but hey, at least he had a good last meal. People will fuck you over and do outrageous things to get more bank then the next person because basically its all one big competition whether you think your competing or not.
Did you ever see that movie where money is replaced with time? I can't think of the name off hand but it was an amazing concept. When you hit 25, a clock starts and you get one year free, when your clock runs out, your dead. If a place gets overpopulated, the government would double the prices of everything and cause the people that couldn't afford it to die. It almost seems like thats whats being done with America now but I don't want to get political. Think if the world was actually like this, survival of the fittest, the strong win and the weak die. Its a cold cruel world and everyones in it for themselves. Its kind of sad to me that people really don't see the importance of this thin piece of paper that we call money. Some people want all of it, and some only want what they need...and I'll never understand those people. I'm not going to lie, I'm greedy when it comes to money. You have to be now days otherwise you get walked all over. If your good at something, never do it for free <---- thats some shit to live by right there. I think I should also bring up my refusal to work for minimum wage. Its not that its too low, but I feel like my hour is worth more then 7 fucking dollars. I could be doing a lot of other more enjoyable things than slave over some ********** who sits in his office all day because hes the grandson of the lady who owns the business. I can go into a lot more detail about money and I will in due time. Thats all for now, hope you enjoyed the repetitive ranting, Revency out.

Christmas

Christmas has a different meaning to everyone. To some it means getting to spend time with family you wouldn't normally see, celebrating some religious meaning that I can't think of, or getting tons of shit that you normally would not be able to get any other time of the year. That happens to be my case, though it wasn't always like that. Christmas eve was always more of a holiday to me than actual Christmas. I stay down my grandmothers house a few days before and we have a Christmas party on Christmas eve and open the gifts and such from them then I go home to my undecorated house and fuck with all the shit I got until I feel tired enough to fall asleep. I've done this since I was a kid and it honestly wouldn't feel like changing it at all, even if all the "magic" wore off.
As a kid you look at things in a different way, you don't see the realities, you only see what people want you to. I'm not exactly sure where the excitement comes from as a kid knowing that a fat bum ass stranger comes into your house while your sleeping, eats your food, leaves gifts under the tree and then leaves. Its pretty fucking scary now that I think about. I actually have a very similar situation with one of my friends. We were supposed to go pick him up but I stopped at my house first and walked into my bedroom to get a jacket. To my surprise, my fat black friend that we were on our way to pick up was on his hands and knees hiding behind my couch making goat noises and scared the shit out of me as soon as I walked it. He never left me any presents but I still found it amusing. Anyways, people have really grown away from the morals of christmas.
It used to be about friends and family but now its more about how much money you can get everyone to shove out on you so you can have a bunch of things you will forget about by the time next year rolls around. I'm not saying everyone does this but I would say at least 80% of households are like this, me included. I still enjoy spending time with the small amount of family that shows up but its not really my main priority. If we get 2 weeks off school and bunch of expensive shit then I'm not exactly sure why I'm complaining. 22 days to go. Revency out.
