Favorite Movies

Someone asked me what my favorite movies were so I thought I might as well make a post about it. This is sort of hard for me since I'm a bit of a cinefile...but I'll give it a go. The first movie that comes to mind is Forgetting Sarah Marshal. I have watched this movie roughly...80 times? If I had to guess, I'm not exactly sure why I like it so much but thats probably my number one pick... Second would probably be the first half of Funny People. The second half gets really dark and isn't actually funny... but all the jokes and comedy in the first half is fucking hilarious. While on the topic of comedies, I feel like Zach and Miri Make a Porno is an honorable mention here. The title isn't exactly misleading but not exactly accurate either, watch it. You'll see what I mean. SuperBad is just a classic for me since Jonah Hill is probably my favorite actor next to Seth Rogan and Jason Segel. Im sure I am missing some movies in this genre as well, since there are so many...but another one of my favorites that aren't in the comedy genre would be American Gangster. Frank Lucas is so badass, I want to start selling drugs and killing people on the spot...sadly I know it won't happen. Law Abiding Citizen is a great movie too, some scenes remind me of stuff from the Saw Series, which happen to be some of my favorite horror movies along with Dead Silence, 13th Ghost, Insidious, and The Unborn (Not sure why its in there but the upside down possessed dead guy gets me every single time) Im sure I'm missing quite a few movies (Wrong Turn 2) in the horror genre but theres too many to think of off hand. Super Hero movies are next... This is also a tough one. The first one that comes to mind, even though Its not really a super hero movie is Kick-Ass. The first time I watched it, I wasn't really sure what to expect but it ended up being a fucking fantastic movie. I really like the original Spider-Man trilogy and the new movie ass well. The whole Dark Knight trilogy was great too, along with the X-Men trilogy and The 2 Iron man movies which are really high on my list as well. Im not that big of a fan of action movies but Shooter would be one of my favorites, that sniper rifle is just so robust...yummy. S.W.A.T. is another one of my favorites. One movie that I'm not exactly sure how to classify would be Scott Pilgram vs. The World because of how strangely fantastic it is. Thats all that I can really think of at the moment...wait...SHUTTER ISLAND! I'm not sure how I can forget such a mind fuck of a movie but I did...anyways, thats all I got for now. I hope I encouraged you to check out some of these movies if you never saw them! You won't be disappointed, I promise! - Big Papa
